Tuberculosis Statistics Profile CCHD

Program Description

The tuberculosis ( TB) program of the Collier County Health Department monitors all cases of suspect and confirmed active TB in Collier County. It works to assure rapid identification and treatment through cure for all cases, with assessment of contacts to all active cases and provision of therapy for same. The program serves as an expert resource on the disease for private medical providers throughout the county.

Fees are charged for services. Eligibility based on income can be done for clients who have no third party payer and can not afford to pay. Clients with suspect or active TB will not be denied services if unable to pay.
