Hepatitis Program

Are you at increased risk for hepatitis A?  If you meet one of more of the requirements below and are 18 years of age or older, hepatitis A vaccine may be administered to you at no charge.

  • Men who have sex with men
  • Persons who have ever used IV drugs
  • Persons with clotting-factor disorders
  • Persons with chronic liver disease (including hepatitis B and/or hepatitis C)

Are you at increased risk for hepatitis B?  If you meet one of more of the requirements below and are 18 years of age or older, hepatitis B vaccine may be administered to you at no charge.

  • Hemo-dialysis patients
  • Men who have sex with men
  • Persons who have ever used IV drugs
  • Household and sex contacts of hepatitis B-positive persons
  • Heterosexual persons with multiple sex partners (more than one partner in the past 6 months)
  • Persons with chronic liver disease (including hepatitis C)

Are you at increased risk for hepatitis C?  If you meet one or more of the requirements below and are 18 years of age or older, you may be tested for hepatitis C free of charge.

  • Persons who have ever used IV drugs
  • Hemo-dialysis patients
  • Persons born to a hepatitis C-positive mother
  • Persons who have ever been told that they had elevated liver enzymes
  • Persons who received a blood transfusion or organ transplant before 1992
